P0284 code

i got a p0284 code and have some symptoms such as shaking while accelerating between 45 and 60 mph and a rough idle.

You have a problem with your #8 cylinder. It can be wiring/connection or an injector issue. Is it continuous or intermittent? Check your wiring for chafing where it goes across the driver's side valve cover at the 42 pin connector. It can also be a faulty connection at the Under Valve Cover Harness going to the injectors/glow plugs. Sometimes the connector will separate slightly.

I'm in the same boat. Happened Thursday on easy home, at a stoplight. Truck had a horrible shake, so I looked down at egt gauges and sure enough, d/s reading 0, pass side at 150ish. However, didn't act up yesterday...(I have the 50 cent mod too)
