New Personal Record

I don't know how much it actually weighed, but my truck knew it was back there. It took a forklift assisting the jacks to unhook from it. Pulled it out of the field then 5 miles down the road. 6.7/6r140 was ready for battle! The SRW F-350 wasn't! 17 soaking wet round bales.

Looks like some air bags would really help you out with that load.

Bales alone could weigh 25,500.
I noticed that pic the other day and wondered how it went....

No doubt. Probably my next mod. My only complaint about these trucks is how easy the sag under a little weight. It had every reason to be on the bump stops yesterday though

Wow. I sure hope you didn't need to go far. If you had to drive down hill and make a turn (in the grass) that trailer would just push your truck to wherever it wanted to go and nothing you could do about it.

The same could happen to ANY trailer. If the trailer gets outside the tailights of your truck in that scenario it won't matter what you are driving you are going for a ride.

Nothing new in the rural ag states.

Most still use 3/4 and 1 ton trucks with 460s and 351s and been doing it for years.

My thoughts are the grass, I assume at least 4hi to keep from digging in the rears.

You need the wider hips like I have for those loads if you do them very much.

It's not often. I wouldn't dare venture this out on an interstate. It had to go because the trucks that normally do it are 3500 2wd Rams. They weren't gonna get it that day.
