It's been awhile since I have been on. Haven't had any issues with my truck. Question I have now is I do a lot of highway driving. Not sure it's because I'm getting older but the drone from the exhaust at 80 MPH is getting old. Right now I have a 4" turbo back MBRP no cat no muffler. I want to put a muffler in it to get rid of the drone. U still want to hear it when I get on it. Any suggestions on what you all have?
I have a the same exhaust with a muffler and it makes no drone. The idle and low end noise is much less than my buddies straight piped rigs but at WOT its quite notable.
Here is what I have, I think mine is only 18" long, it's small but it killed the drone.
She still sounds sweet when I romp on it but cruising it's a quiet ride. It did not really affect my MPG from what I have seen. I do have an 03 with the famous(a little annoying to me) turbo whistle. There is a reason they call it the cab drone killer.
