I think on the surface of things they are fun, useful and are a great toy..

It is the sinister side of things that has me worried..

They need to be regulated to minimize the negative effects..

They could be used in bombings, Spying, and a whole list of illegal activities

What's going to stop someone from peeping into their neighbors windows??

Drug dealers can transport their goods without coming in direct contact with their customer...

These are just a few of the things I can see happening with the use of drones..

So much of that ^^^ is already happening---its not in the future for sure.

With the few dumb asses who are abusing these things there needs to be swift and encompassing action to register them so things like interfering with other aircraft can be stopped and prosecuted accordingly. Its only a matter of time before some fool causes a loaded real aircraft to crash, the result not being pretty at all.

I'd also like to see some sort of radio identification required, much like real aircraft to identify themselves to both air traffic control and other aircraft.

Sure that might sound like more unnecessary government regulation but the growing sophistication and capability of those things makes it important. I personally don't care how much my suggestions would cost owners--if they wanna play they gotta pay.

Certainly there are probably many, many more responsible operators than the fools but it only takes one of the latter to create a huge problem---much like they're already doing.

If nothing else making it legal to shoot them down if over flying ones property---loss of their toys might stop a few from being too stupid.

There's a fella on my route who is a home inspector. He uses his to video any portion of a structure that he would otherwise need to climb a ladder to see.

Additionally, I think there should be a clause that if you fly it in or over your neighbors property, then you have no legal recourse if he destroys it.
