And I have been doing some searching for pictures of a 95-96 intake and the ones I keep finding look like they still have the temp switch on #6 so maybe they used both?
The location for the IAT is still cast into the intake, it's not punched through and threaded on the later trucks.
I have one of those harness in post #30 I took off of a 95 5.0L I parted out.
The 1995 5.0L harness in post #30 is a Mass harness SFI as the one in the photo above is the same.
The harness in post #30 does not have an IAT plug or a MASS plug as the are not part of the engine harness as the they are mounted in the air filter box on the fender as in the photo that I posted above in post #10.
