Salvage yard or places like Mac's or National Parts Depot.

Where thus far have you looked for a flywheel/flexplate inspection cover? And what transmission?

Looks like the same one on my NP435.

I haven't really as I am currently replacing the oil pan gasket on my truck and I noticed that one of the po's had covered a hole in the bottom of it with gasket maker and when I cut it off oil came out

The hole is OK. Probably the rear main seal was leaking. The PO might have thought he/she could stop the leak by plugging the hole. You might want to replace the rear main seal while the pan is off. Dropping that cover will give you a better idea where the leak id coming from.

Can I replace the rear main seal with just the pan off or do I have to pull the transmission to do it?

If an FE engine, the inspection cover is the same for all 3 & 4 speed M/T's: 1965/76 F100/350; 1963/71 Passenger Cars.

C3AZ-6366-A .. Inspection Cover / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

No, but replacement is a little involved....Google rear seal replacement and you may find the method that works for you.

I talked to Toothless Jake about the tape over the weep hole on the bottom of the inspection plate. Jake shook his head and said he would never half-**** it that way. Jake said he would do it right with a self-tapping screw and thread sealer.

He said he was fixin' to borrow a welder from Bubba and then he was going to remove the screw and then zip that hole up right.
