81 van standard to auto
hey folks, i just purchased an 1981 ford econoline van 302 with a 3sp./od (4 sp.) STANDARD i would like to change it to an automatic besides the linkage/crossmember/drive shaft changes im assuming the c-6 may be the best choice? read here that the aod is not the best & the aode needs the computer. The overdrive is what i would really like even if i purchased an aod aftermarket modified would that work?
Havent checked my rear end gear ratio yet it may not be compatable with an auto, thanks a bunch
