Oil leak

Just got a 95 250. First diesel truck I've ever owned. Noticed a oil leak. I'm not sure what the place is called where it's leaking from. Anybody know?

Check on the valley of the engine, oil tends to drip from the top to the trans inspection plate.

If you don't have oil pooling in the valley, check the oil galley plug in the back of the head. The plug will have a 1/2" square in the plug that a ratchet will slip into. The o-ring can go bad allowing the plug to leak.

Weirdest thing, went and got it checked out at my work, (a Audi dealership) they couldn't really see cause there was oil on top of the engine at the valley area, so he had me power wash it out and we're gonna look at it the next day, hasn't been a drop of oil since! Hoping that's a good thing. But have you ever heard of that happening and the leak coming back later??

I got fooled the other day, smell it, it might be fuel mixing with oil already on the block.

Well there's none at after I cleaned it up real good, I'm thinking/hoping it was from a repaired oil leak or something in the past that got all over the place and just when it heated up started leaking down. Cause when I first notice the leak it only happened when the truck was hot. I've only had the truck for 2 weeks, and it was in the shop the whole first week I got it.
