When you do, I strongly suggest going with Riffraff Diesel Performance boots. I personally feel they are the best ones made, available to us.

Thanks already found them and bookmarked the site for when the funds are available. I am going to order the whole kit with all new clamps also. That sounded like a really frustrating trip for Twitch that I would not like to try out.
So APOC sabotaged you for ruining his deceitful plan towards his wife......
WOW!!!!
I hate the boot popping/tearing episodes! First time it happened to me I thought someone shot a shotgun off under the hood! I slowly opened it up expecting stuff to be shredded!

That's exactly how the guys at the tech day described it when my rig kept blowing a boot off after installing a 38R up in Orgeon back in '09 I believe it was.
I had aftermarket boots from a company, but they just wouldn't hold. Clay was there with goodies and supplies for us so I bought a set of his boots and popped them on and they held.
One trick we did use was to place a third clamp in the middle of the boot to keep it from expanding like a balloon.

Hopefully you have an uneventful return trip!
Same thing happened to my 6.7 about a year ago. A shotgun blast is being tame. I am just greatful that I wasn't ascending the skyway bridge which I had done earlier that day.
I was going to suggest for couplings that keep blowing off, clean real good with brake cleaner if you have some, then spray some hair spray in the coupler and on the tube and assemble real quick. Race car tricks.
Breaking down with the family in the car is the worst, I would rather have it happen to just me. Glad you are back on the road Twitch.
So how many 6.0L Ex owners went out and checked their boots? I am towing with mine next week, and decided not to screw with anything, let a sleeping dog lie. Mine are 18 months old so I should be good.
Glad to hear you're on the road again, Twitch. Sorry to hear about the drama (s)... Seems like during this kind of crap it seems like Hell. Afterwards it'll just be part of an 'adventure'!
