how to tell the serpentine belt type/size in a ford e350 7.3

Hello I got a rust free 95 7.3 turbo E350 83k
It was owned by the LA county fire dept

Now I got maintenance records with it it has been extensively serviced

Did typical fluid changes

Now I want to replace the serp. belt

Do all the fire dept vehicles that have equipment installed in them Have the ambulance package?

Without uninstalling the belt
Is there away to tell which belt to get

I dought they connect anything to the serpentine belt, theres no space in there, they might of added a higher amperage alternator but the size should be the same.

Thanks for the reply, makes sense but the parts store has 2 different types
1 with ambulance
1 w/o
Not sure which type was on the vehicle but there was interior equipment removed
There is alot of extra connectors on the interior wiring

Thats where the higher amperage alt comes to play, maybe the pulley is a bit smaller on ambulance package?

Didn't the ambulance package have dual alternators? I thought that I read that someplace. Or maybe it was a high out put single.

I have 2 other 7.3 a 99 and 01 f series trucks not E series van and the volt meter is much lower when running
The van volt meter is above the half line,

So this might be a 200 amp alt
I tried vin research to see what options it had but just gives vehicle history

Was trying to save labor I might just have to take the belt out , I just need to move it around if I cannot get the belt locally

The door jamb sticker should indicate whether the vehicle is equipped for ambulance use or not. I don't remember offhand whether the owner's manual indicates the belt numbers, but that would be the first place to look.

If it doesn't have dual alt. it should be a standard belt
