I have an 05 6.0 in California. BPD and studded running livewire with the looney tune and a stage1 powermaxx turbo. My problem is the screen on the livewire won't respond to "return to stock". My question is can I just change my pcm with a new one with the stock tune in order to pass smog or will this create more problems?
I have to send the livewire into sct to get it fixed but I need the smog done by the end of the month... Thanks
Not sure if the computer in the cluster will have a fit or not.
It may work and then again it may see the PCM and because
it does not see the S/N that it has in it memory it may just flake out.
You would also have to hardware match the PCM that you install so
that it won't kick up any DTCs. The last option would be to drop into
a dealership and have then return it to stock and then ket SCT know
what you had to do so they can un-marry the tuner.
Ok thanks... Talked with ford its $100 for the flash. Hope sct doesn't take long to get the tuner back to me... Truck is a dog with that turbo and stock tune 😁
