Does my luck suck
About a month after I got my truck, I was driving down a rural road with a buddy of mine. We came up to an area that looked like it had water on it. To my horror, it was tar. Oh no, I didn't find this out before had, I drove right through it...
I drove on down the road, with it flying off the tire, and hitting underneath the truck. After a mile or so, the ride became smooth again. When I got into town, I stopped at a car wash, and looked at the damage. I was pretty bad on the driver side, and just a little bid on the passenger side. I hosed it off, and thought that was it. nope... When I got home, I busted out the flash light, and crap was it bad. I waited till pops went to sleep and the cleaning began. 2 hours later at 3am, I was done, and the truck looked okay..
Next morning, I woke up, and dad asked my why there was black stuff dripping on the driveway. oops!!! Well to make this story short, I took to a stream clean shop, and had them do the whole underneath, until I was pleased.
But the bad luck doesn’t stop there. I went to throw a half drunk, 32oz fountain drink into a dumpster out my passenger window.. Well I kind of forgot the roll it down. Oh was I PO'ed It landing in the seat, and that’s where the majority of it went. I soaked that up, and wiped down most of it, until I could get home. It took me about an hour to detail the inside, and get all the spots off. To make it worse, it went down into the door panel, causing the window the squeak when rolled up and down, and still does. And the door was hard to open the first time after the incident.
After I had my beliner spray on, I noticed that the back window had little spots on it, and so I tried to wipe them off, and they didn't. I felt them, and it was over spray on the window, roof, and side windows. I washed the truck, and found out that both rear rims wear covers as well. I took it back, and let the guy have it, and got $100 bucks back, and had him take it off. I do have to say, he was pretty cool about. some people wouldn't give a damn
And then, 2 days ago, I took my buddy on a test drive after installing something, right after I accelerated, a flock of birds came out of nowhere, and thump thump, hit two. I thought one had bounced off the bug shield, and hit the window. My buddy thought one came inside. But I insisted no, because I thought I would have seen it come in my window.
Tonight I got in the truck, and did it smell. I thought it was from the dirty clothes I had left in side for 2 days, but nope. I looked in the back seat area, something caught my eye. I the spare tire cover, that acts as two cup holders, there it was, a bird!!! It blending in so well. Now I know what that second thump was, it hitting the back widow.
well I thought i would share that with whoever.. thanks -Mike
As far as the spots on the window, did you try scraping them off with a razor blade? That's the best way to get "stuff" off of glass.

you could go to work for Ford and make sure that their seats are scotchguarded properly and that the paint withstands whatever you can do to it....you might be able to help them produce a built tougher ford truck LOL
You might want to just board up your house and hunker down with a shotgun for a few days.
