Could be worse; at least you're not one of those pelletheads who quotes a 2000 word, 10 paragraph post in it's entirety merely to respond with "I agree".
They did it to Chevy with the 2011 and they just might do it again. Anybody remember the commercial Chevy had for a few weeks? Then took it off when ford announced the update?
Who knows?
I'm in the market for a SuperCrew 4x4 that can LEGALLY tow close to 18K on a 5th wheel. Ram's at 16,800 on a Megacab 4x4. I don't want a dually, as I would have picked up a Ram Megacab already. I think the f350 SRW is going to meet my requirements, but I can't order on a guess or a hope...
at 15,700 SRW legal max tow, the current SRW doesn't have enough to pull most Toy Haulers fully loaded or even some of the heavier 5th wheels.
Aside from the whole dually is easier and safer, I only drive one truck, so SRW it will be if I can do it.
So I'm one of those who wish the damn tow numbers would come out already.

Reason: spelling
Yes, I saw that in one of the posts. I need to see official #'s though before I commit 60K to this truck. However, if true, those numbers are better than a Ram 3500 4x4 Megacab SRW right now. Note that the Megacab has lower #'s then the CrewCab, but I want the flat bench seats in the back, not the seats where the middle one is smaller or cutout in some way. As of now, the two options in the market are Ford and Ram MegaCab models..
I'm in the same boat. I just need the GVWR of the F350 SRW to see if I can tow a 15K fifth wheel within my limits. With a 2016, I'd be about 700 lbs over when adding five passengers, dog, hitch, 300 lbs firewood...
I'd be within spec with the RAM 3500, so I'm pretty sure the Ford will be spec'ed higher. I just need the specs before committing $75K.
If the GVWR is less than 12,300 or so, I'll get a F450 or be over my limits.
