I found a running 97 efi 460 as a donor motor to get my truck back on the road...will the 97 be a plug and play or will have to change stuff out because it is an OBDII not a OBD1 system?
Once again, it depends on whether or not it was a California emissions truck. The 97 460 could be OBD-2 if it's from a California truck, or it will still be OBD-1 if it's a "49-State" truck.
The OBD-2 engines have a few differences in sensors and actuators - mainly for the EGR and Thermactor/AIR system. You will have to swap the ones from your '93 over. The OBD-2 460 engine harness will not work either, and you'll have to swap the entire thing over.
