New to the site guys. My problem is that I have no FICM sync at all. The PID never changes from no to yes while cranking. I have a very good understanding of what is supposed to happen to establish FICM Sync. I've tried both new Cam & Crank sensors, ohmed out and traced out all wiring for those sensors, tried different FICM & PCM, verified signal triggers in cam & crank shafts, and even went as far as trying a different wiring harness. Still no luck. Any help with anything I may have missed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
I assume you are getting crank/cam sync? Extended cranking and no-start can set of code for no cam/crank sync. Having tried a different FICM and PCM, it sounds like a wiring issue. Those can be a pain to find but at least it's a solid fault and not an intermittent one. Maybe someone can post up some wiring diagrams for you. What year is the truck?
The other FICM you tried is it from a running engine?
Here are the engine controls from the 03~04 trucks

It's too bad you so far away from some of use that have access
to an IDS/VCM II for running a diagnostics. Most of the major
steps can also be run on the AE with Ford bundle. >>> https://www.autoenginuity.com
With everything else you've tried, it may be worth disconnecting the negatives from both batteries and flipping a headlight switch on to drain down any and all power. After a few minutes, turn off the headlight switch, reconnect the batteries, and try again.
