cat punch out

I have a 94 f250 4x4 extra cab.it has a 460,auto.I am getting 13mpg with cruise and 410 gears.I am thinking about punching out the cat.and adv. the timming 2- 4 deg.it also has a t. body spacer and a open element air filter.any thoughts about small mods? thanks.

If you are getting 13 mpg. I wouldn't touch anything that's very good mpg for a 460.

A cat delete won't do anything but make the exhaust louder... oh and make the truck an excessive polluter.

thanks for the advise,and I will take your advice.this truck has 111,ooo on it for 22 yrs. old not bad.I just got it a short while ago.no rust or any damage at all,came from out west,I am going to take it apart this summer and under coat and paint the under side.all the factory stickers are still on all the parts.thanks.

and that throttle body spacer does absolutely nothing.
they are a scam designed to make buyers wallets lighter and the sellers wallets fatter.

how? it does absolutely nothing but make the throttle body 1 inch farther away from the manifold.
it does nothing for fuel atomization, because the only thing that passes over it is air.
you THINK you got better mileage from the TB spacer, but in reality it had nothing to do with it.

I have been turning wrench for 45yrs.I know what you are saying believe me, before I put the thing on @72 with cruise on I got 12,put it on,drove the same and sameplace.13.got me.ower turnpike is some what flat too.what ever did it I wont complane,and it stil does it. ??????????????????
