460 fuel pump replacement
Just wondering how much of a job changing out the fuel pump on the block of my 460 is? Had it running a month or so ago and seen if was squirting gas out of the top of the pump onto the block and headers. Since it's getting nice out and don't have any snow all over figured I can tackle it now.

All depends if you have the a/c bracket or not. With a/c it is sort of a PITA, just 2 lines 2 bolts but hard to reach. Leaking gas, let alone squirting gas ON a header is a change NOW deal, PITA or not.

I have a 75 460. I changed out the fuel pump 2 years ago. I opted for an Edelbrock unit that put out 7psi. Love it since no regulator is necessary for my Holly. Back to your question: Plan on changing your oil filter since this will be easier with the filter out of the way. Just don't forget to put it back on. You may also have to move the AC bracket. Mine was gone when I changed the fuel pump. Good Luck!

Yes I have the a/c bracket. My power steering resivoir is leaking like a siv also (never leaked when I got it until I opened it to check fluid level now it's empty) so I need to replace that also.. Should give me a little more room.

My engine has a miss to it and was just going to have my mechanic replace them when he was going to check out the miss whenever he gets his new shop underway. But now that the weather is getting nice I'm getting antsy and its taunting me in the driveway
