Body leaning left

Got my truck up on a drive on lift so that I could take some pictures and see why it is leaning left. A list of what has been done is as follows, new front down and forward springs from m f (Eaton) new front hanger bar left side, new spring pins all the way around, bushings. I hope that pictures help and come out ok.

This is driver side looking back(front of axle)

This is passenger side looking back.

Driver side looking forward

passenger side looking forward.

Isnt the snubber supposed to be over top of the axle mounting point? Hard to tell but it looks like one of the springs is in backwards.
Not much suspension travel either, I would cut the snubbers down.

Yes the snubber is to be over the center of axle but that has nothing to do with why one spring is lower. Springs are down and forward so if one was put in backward the axle would be off as these are also centering springs to center the wheels in the fender. Thanks Dave for checking it out.

Bent or sagging spring, bent frame, worn spring mounts are common things to check. Hard to diagnose over the net, measuring and inspection should show the issue.

Hi Art
You need to find what is actually sagging. If it is the body or frame. Do some measuring from side to side from the same points on opposite sides of the frame to the floor. That should tell you if it is the frame. The frame might be ok, just the body mounts bad. Measuring from the spring parts to the floor on each side to see if that's where the issue is.. Good luck. Just gonna take some crawling around and measuring to see whats going on.

Larry good to here from you I was up your way last week to see the boys at Hammons. As far as sagging it is not the body mount as that would have nothing to do with the different measurement between the springs and bottom of frame. I am going to swap out springs and see if that does anything if not then maybe someone did something to the frame that I cannot tell. I do know that the frame horns were cut off then some others welded back on and they are not the same size frame horns for the bumper. If need be I will take it to a frame shop and see. First though I will swap the springs around. I wish that when I built the shop that I would of put in a spot for a lift the exercise I get from getting up and down I am told is good for me I think they are b sing me.

Hi Art

Have you had some repair to the frame on drivers side? Looks like maybe some welding there. Can you measure from the top of the frame to top of spring on each side? Just need to find some reference point that you think is straight.

Scott it does look like some work was done. I have to get it back off the ground and check it out . The thing is is that it did not lean on the left side with the stock springs in it. Abe if it was a damocrat I would run it off of a cliff

Are both of the long leafs installed the same. One eye going down and the other going up? Kinda like Marty Feldman.

both eyes are on the down side unlike(Marty) the stock springs. Next time I will not read your comment while driving as we just about went into the ditch I the the Marty Feldman analogy I don't know if he would but then what the hell.

OK ! I swapped springs and the same thing. I lined them up and they are the same height and same length no surprise there. I was hoping that it was a spring but no such luck. The spot on the drivers side that looks as though there was some work is just a weld spot that someone tacked on it (the weld) does not go all the through. I am going to find a good frame shop and have it checked out but my way of thinking is that it would have to be bent between spring hangers for it to do what it is doing. I need all the frame guys to chime in . I need to find out how to make photo's smaller EH! Thanks to all.
