The ribbon on my gauge cluster going to amp meter is fryed . Can someone point me in the right direction as far finding a replacement .I've been looking all over online but nothing is coming up for my year . Wondering if another year would be compatible. Thanks
I would hope that any other "E" series dash assembly from that generation 75-91 may work, but may I recommend replacing the amp meter by converting it to volt meter? This guy does great work
I am not sure about fitment on different years but know you cant swap between clusters with gauges and clusters with lights.. I removed one with gauges from a donor van to put in my 85 with lights and found out later it requires a good bit of wiring changes.. Somewhere I have ran across just the printed circuit boards, I just dont remember what site it was.. My 85 has a problem with one of the ribbon cables
Can you post some pics of where the damage is? sometimes they can be repaired..
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but for this vintage of dash panel, what bulb number is used for the background illumination? I'd like to buy bulbs before disassembly. Mine is a 1988 E250.
