I think Dad would have been the one to hold on to it, Mom fought for years to get rid of stuff and took every opportunity to get rid of stuff. Otherwise the farm would have been one big pile of "Valuable Junk"

My wife is the same way-- I love it on those rare occasions when she tosses something-- then a few months later we have to buy a new one-- I get to say-- "SEE ITOLD YA SO" -- it lasts for a micro second-- like any husband "win" but OOOOhhh for that microsecond :-)
