anyone ever consider taking stock F350 super duty springs and putting on an F150? What was the last year that F150 used leaf springs all around?
I don't have much experience with F150 but considering down grading from F350 superduty
I had a set of E rated tires on my F-150. One rough roads the truck would literally skip across the surface of the road. On a rough road with a curve in it, I could easily see that truck departing the flight path.
Considering the number of other components that limit the cargo capacity of the 150, I would imagine stiffer springs would only be detrimental to the performance of the truck.
Front end of an F150 truck (if it's '04-08 like the forum you posted in), is IFS with coilovers and 8.8" HP front axle. Prior to the TTB disaster, it was a coil sprung solid axle HP Dana 44. I'm not sure how far back you'd have to go to find a leaf sprung front F100/150?
The F350 springs for the the rear would most likely be wider perhaps even longer than what an F150 came with. If you already have an F350, then why sell it to jury rig an F150 to carry more weight? You'd have to worry about the GAWR as well, not just springs.
