I had a Walbro for a couple years. It became very loud towards the end. I bought a super duty pump and have been happy ever since. Good pressure without the noise and it has a lifetime warranty as a bonus
If you want to stick with an air/water separator, go with Air Dog. I've replaced mine twice in 8 years on my Dmax and they've sent a replacement pump each time no questions asked.
Okay thanks guys but if I don't go with a air dog or fass I'm going to go with dual superduty pumps but my main problem is the filter housings as mine were built into the pump now I won't have any
im only running baby swamp injectors at this time but i plan on upgrading soon enough but id rather have the dual pumps just as a volume thing i know the single sd pump is probably fine but i just kinda figure why not
Well as funds are short I'm just gonna run a sd pump and pre and post filter on it got a wix filter bases from orileys for 28 bucks apiece and filters now just got to get fittings and hose and be good to go
That's what I did and a single SD pump works fine. Of course my injectors are still stock. I didn't see any need for the complication and expense of dual pumps but I can add one later if necessary when I start the inevitable serious mods. Biggest problem with my installation was getting the filters mounted high enough to avoid getting clobbered by rocks.

That pump will drop pressure under load. The gsl392 is whisper quiet and keeps up no prob with 250/200 just fine..89$ it's hard to beat
I've got the super duty pump on mine with the sinister diesel regulated return and baby swamps no matter the setting on my chip I've never seen it drop pressure

You are very lucky. Seen plenty that did.do what you want but mine has been flawless for 3years so I'm just going to keep doing what's working

Dual pumps will help keep the pressure up, but won't give you more volume. The only way to truly get more volume is to run a bigger fuel line from the pump to the heads. But, in my opinion, even that won't truly get you more volume because you are still trying to force all that fuel through the tiny hole in the fittings on the back of the heads. Black Widow makes a fitting that replaced the fuel rail plug in the back of the head that you can hook the fuel lines to. BWD hi flow fuel fittings - Black Widow Diesel
In my opinion, this is the only true way to actually get more volume of fuel all the way to the injectors.

Bill, one of the concepts that I'm trying to understand is the idea of "all that fuel." I don't think we're burning a tenth of a gpm of fuel, hardly much flow and there shouldn't be enough velocity to create much of a pressure drop at all. That may be a tiny hole, but the required flow is pretty tiny too.
I'm new here and not trying to start a pi****g contest, just want to understand this.
