red head box problem

Well, I'm a dumb a$$. My lazy a$$ wouldn't take the time to remove the bracket so I could get a good spline count. So I order the wrong box and the other Pittman arm I order didn't fit the new box. Send box back. This costed few extra dollars.. guy at red head said I wasn't the first to do this. Still felt like a dumb a$$.
Just to be clear, it was not an X or + problem at all? It was a tooth count "32 vs 36" problem and you just happened to order the wrong one to fit your truck?
