Washing Engine? (Badly Needed)

Ive been using simple green and a garden hose with a sprayer since my truck was brand new. I put a bag over the alternator and spray down the motor with simple green then let sit for a few minutes and then rinse her off. I follow that up with a blow dry from my air compressor

too many electrical modules in recent model trucks....its not going to run any different if the exterior of the engine is dirty or clean so why risk it.
if your going to insist on doing it anyway, disconnect the battery and let it sit for a day with the hood open to dry out all the electricals.
