Dennis Carpenter will have the quality product versus LMC, but the cost is going to be shocking. And good luck finding the brackets, a 5 gal bucket of gold hens teeth will be easier to find.
There are some threads about moding some 79 80 ish Bronco brackets to fit the bumper to a truck.
Were is the best place to buy a styleside rear bumper and brackets....TIA
"Best" is a subjective term but Dennis Carpenter is known for their quality over others' so that's where I'd send ya for a reproduction. However, do a comparo btwn DC, NPD, and LMC for a decent price point.. the latter (LMC) I recall has a 'good/better/best' offering as to their chrome job. Don't forget to calculate shipping!
The other alternative is to troll the yards... I scored a decent contour bumper off a Bronco a few months back along with its brackets... it's gonna get modded to go on my 71 F250. If I really wanted for it to be perfect, then I'd get it rechromed.
Whichever you choose, I suggest priming and painting the back side to stave off corrosion it's waay easier to clean. .. even the cleanest cars at shows, except for really high end builds, have rusty or dirty back sides because no one typically ever looks there. I applied POR-15 and then a couple of top coats of Rustoleum gloss black... gloss surfaces have less surface tension so kicked up dirt/mud is waaaay easier to hose off compared to a rough surface.
Dunno about brackets butI recall FTE guy "Dean Bitner" made some repros a few months ago... search for his user name and the threads he started.
