I love this thread. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of moving and need all the money I have for that, because I've found some real nice deals on wheels on craigslist recently. Next year....next year.
7.3Ex where did you get that air dam under your bumper? Was that stock?
Not factory. Its from a new super duty with the 4x4 package. It's 2x as long as my original. I think it was like $80 something from the local dealer. It doesn't bolt in directly, not even close. I had to make a few brackets to make it fit but I really like the look with the added lift I put on. I wish it was 4" taller.
Did you happen to notice any difference in highway mileage with that air dam? Don't want to get off topic but inquiring minds want to know...
I didn't notice any real difference, although that was my goal after lifting it. I was working on fabricating an aluminum front air dam but that was derailed when I had to have a spinal fusion. My goal was to get 4" lower than this one. I would think that would have to give some benefit although the cost of fabricating the lower dam might take years to recoup.
A little before and after. I put the 20's on without spacers to see how they looked on it. It's not bad without the spacers and no rubbing. I'm going with a shorter tire so I'm not sure how much that will change the look.
Shorter tire than that? Going for the 'rubber band' look?
Not exactly. These are 275/65r20 at 34" and looking at getting 275/55r20 which are 31.9" a little bit larger than stock 265/75r16. Definitely not rubber bands.
