Proud of me 7.3

My Brother has been out of work since end of Oct. The decision was made to move from Chicago to Atlanta a few weeks ago. He has gracious friend there who offered there basement to him for free to live.

So my wife and I offered to go get him. Borrowed a friend's 3 horse slant and headed out last Thurs.
Returned Friday nite. 36 hour round trip.

The truck ran flawlessly! I am proud of my truck!

Here's how I weather protected the goods if we had rain.

Zip Ties and duck tape baby!
I don't know how anybody in Indiana can keep a vehicle alignment. Dadgum asphalt quilt on I-65.

I had a very similar feeling after pulling our 30 ft travel trailer from GA to Seattle and back (8000 miles). I returned to work and told a guy that had been asking to buy it from me that the price just went up to $50K.

I love my 7.3. I hope your brother enjoys the Atlanta area, the weather is much nicer down in this neck of the woods.

Sous he is returning after 9 yrs in Chicago. He went straight from college to HotLanta for 15 yrs then up to Illinois.

Cant wait to run through undercarriage carwash. She is NASTY!

Sous interested in how your truck pulls after your Modfest. This trip I guess the trailer to be under 6,000 LB. My truck never dropped out of overdrive running the Interstate.

Wish I could do that with my 9,000 LB Travel Trailer sometime.

My first pulling experience after "Modfest" will be on the 22nd of March. We are headed to the lake for 6 nights of camping with the trailer. I suspect it will be a completely different experience because the truck runs like or better than new now.

I am looking forward to it and going to be keeping an eye on the boost and EGT gauges. I have the turbomaster wastegate controller set where I think it should be, but only pulling somewhat heavy will tell the entire story.
