Well, with time comes change. I bought this truck back in March of 2015 right after I bought my first house. I had owned 2 Ford pickups prior to this but had been longing for a Dentside for probably 6 years or so before finally getting this one. I had really wanted a highboy but this 79 F250 was just too good to pass up. After owning it for a little over 3 years I hesitantly decided it was time to part ways a couple weeks ago. Quickly wrapped up all my projects on it and posted it up on Craigslist on Wednesday. Drove it all week and realized how nice it is to drive when its completely put together. But, with a boat purchase and my first kid on the way, I needed more than a project truck (sneak peak below) and needed a little more room. Just wanted to thank all you guys on this forum for all the help over the past few years. As of tomorrow I'll be Dentside-less. I'll be moving on over to the Superduty forums. Thanks again.
Well that kinda stinks, at least you bought a 7.3. I reluctantly got rid of my 7.3 after 10 years of ownership. My reason for it was kinda like yours....new kid plus mine was getting rusty. If I woulda had a crew I probably wouldn't chose a different route. I however couldn't part with my 3 old trucks so I added on lol.
Nice truck, you will regret it soon if you sell it , save it for that kid when turns 16
Or your kid(s) will regret it after the fact. My dad traded in a cherry 1959 shortbed fleetside F100 for a new ‘73 F-250 back in the day. My brother and I are still mad about that one. Oh and he sold the ‘73 5 years later. 😪
