It's more involved. To what extent, I do not know. The alternator is buried inside. Once certain items are removed, it's the same process. I am waiting to replace the serpentine belt when I remove enough stuff to check the EGR valve. With the van, once you start removing things, you realize you better do all the necessary preventive maintenance to make it worth your time.
