I replaced the right front hub the other day. It went rather easily (mostly thanks to this site). Everything went together great. The only problem I am having is now my truck is pulling to the right a little bit. Is this normal? Are you suppose to replace both hubs at the same time? Since money is tight I just did the hub that was bad. The other hub seems fine.
Did you have the outer tie rod off for some reason? Or need to beat on the hub really hard to get it off?
Also curious, did you get a good name brand hub or a cheap China made special?
I only ask because replaced the pair on my Yukon last week and spent the extra scratch on American made. Could have saved $100 but after reading some of the horror stories on some of the "off" brands as I will call them, thought the heck with it. Keep the money here at home.
I didn't have the tie rod off. It is an American made hub. I did have to beat it a little to come off. I believe they were the original hubs and my truck has 140k on it.
Are you sure the hub bearing assembly flange seated square and flat? Was the dust shield damaged upon removable, keeping the new hub from sitting flat?

Yeah it seated perfectly. The dust shield was surprisingly in good shape.
Well let's see I had my front end apart down to the tube, replaced ball joints and seals, went back with the same hubs and runs straight. I'd say with the new hub you've highlighted bad ball joints, have a bad hub, or maybe bad torque on the hub nuts? Just my .02.......but I'm tired been up since 3am.
Nope. I took it off just to make sure it was seated correctly and it was. The new hub is "tighter" than the other side so I am assuming that is it. I am going to replace the driver side hub and see if that fixes it.
could be rolling resistance of a tighter bearing or you may need a front end alignment. Does it require a good amount of opposite side steering to stay center?

It doesn't require a great deal of restistance but if I let go of the wheel it slowly drifts to the right.
