Engine harness fire

Hi guys, I had a wire on the positive of the GPR in case I need to hardwire it in the future because I can only access it by puling the tranny or the turbo(aftermarket). it grounded out on the manifold while the GP controller was cycling the relay and burned up a R W/ GN wire on the engine harness and now I don't get a WTS light nor does the fuel solenoid activate.

I added a wire providing +12VDC to the middle connector on the IP and It runs and I hear my GPR click.

Is this bad for the harness?

Would fixing that one wire fix my issue?

the power source for the gp controller is the same wire that provides power for the advancer and high idle, and FSS...separate from the large wire to the gp relay gets its power thru a fuseible link at the starter solenoid (poss bat post) one is a low current and the other, the big wire is heavy current. read the stickys...
