Extra EGT Sensor

I don't know if it is even still a problem on the later trucks, but I got my extra EGT sensor from ebay in the mail today. I had an extra "made in Taiwan" 13mm wrench in the garage. I broke out the Dremel and cut a slot in the boxed end so the wire can slip through and the wrench can fit down over the nut. I hope I never need it but if I do it's all under the back seat.

If you get a made in china wrench all you need to make the slot is a butter knife.

I hope you never need it too.

I assume that you have a way to clear codes?

If I would have had to use one of my Craftsman wrenches, I guess I would have had to get out the grinder and the cutting wheel.

I took all of mine loose and put permatex anti-seize on the threads in case I have to change them. Then they won't be near as hard to get out.

You'll use two cut off wheels for the real craftsman stuff, because, guess what... The new sears craftsman tools are made in china...

I guess it's a good thing all my Craftsman hand tools are really old. I haven't purchased anything from Sears in years. I usually go to Lowe's because it is closer and get the Kobalt stuff when I need something. I have no idea where it is made but it seems to be good enough for everyday use.
