Who say Bullnose trucks do not sell for high dollars?

Beautiful! I sent him this note:
Beautiful truck! But, I'm not in the market as I have two 1981's, one of which I'm restoring in a true frame-off fashion.
However, I am also doing my best to document the 1980 - 86 Ford trucks, as you can see on my web site (1980 - 86 Ford Trucks - Gary's Garagemahal), where I have over 200 pages of information on them. Would you consent to having the pictures of your truck on there? It is similar in shape to the 1983 Bronco I have on there (1983 Bronco Survivor - Gary's Garagemahal), and I'd love to capture yours there as well.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
And, by the way, I've not heard back from the other one - was it an '84 Bronco?

Well, its a nice truck, that much is obvious.
But Ebay is a confusing place. Sometimes people list things so outlandishly high priced (especially cars) it just makes you wonder if they're just showing off. Placing a reserve so high it would never sell just to make a spectacle out of something they have just to get attention.
The other thing is, WHO BIDS?? You're not allowed to see the names of other bidders like you used to be, but whats stopping a seller from having all his friends and a few fake accounts to drive the price up?
Has anyone else ever noticed a car, in fact the SAME car, that sells or is listed for far more than it should on ebay time and time again? Its because those who placed the winning bid (if they were REAL bidders) often have no intention of paying the high price, it was "just for fun." Either that or whoever won was not a "real buyer" A.K.A. someone who was not affiliated with the seller.
I see the same thing happening with the triumph market (Especially the GT6), which to me and my friends is hilarious, because the old British Leyland cars are extremely impractical! Most people who would pay 10,000$ for one that's a decent driver (which should be worth 800-2000$ on craigslist) have never even driven one, and would likely hate it if they did. Just incase anyone isn't aware the little 4 bangers in those little british cars SCREAM at 55-65, buzzing down the highway. Not cars to just "get in and go" they kinda have to be driven like a motorcycle, twisty roads of about 45MPH are where you can have the most fun. They handle, they're not about the speed.
Long story short, ebay is annoying and stupid. Most things I sell on ebay are things I get for a dollar at the fleamarket and sell for big bucks because its "collectable" or whatever. Ebay is there for people who have money and have to have something right away - this is an instant gratification society you know, it would be crazy to wait around for something to pop up locally for a decent price, am I right?
On to the truck, its an awesome truck, and I personally think it would be fair to ask about 10-15K A new F150 with 4x4 and a HO V8 would still cost you a lot more than that. As for me? I'll stick to the craigslists trucks which can be had for a few thousand that need some love (thats half the fun!)
Thanks for reading my rant if you made it this far!

I had wondered if anyone would be devious enough to have friends bid something up, which might explain the price going up until right at the end. I say that because from what I've seen the bidding frequently goes crazy right at the end when the auto-bids kick in. But, in this case the bidding went to 26,900 with hours to go and then nothing happened. So, that sounds like friends bid it to w/in a smidgen of the reserve and hoped someone else would jump in and carry it over.
That's a shame as it is a pretty truck, although I'm not fond of the clearance lights on a 150. Still, it is clean and pretty much like new.
