In reference to factory components, there are Bendix PS gear boxes and there are (starting in '69) Saginaw PS gear boxes. The Saginaw PS gear box is the better choice but will require a shorter steering column and the correct PS pitman arm.
In PS pumps, there was the Thompson 'pencil neck' pump (1965-1977) and there was the Ford Corporate II (C-2) PS pump (produced from 1978 through about 2003).
There was also a 'canned ham' style Saginaw PS pump that was installed on Ford Econoline vans.
I didn't see it mentioned what engine you have. If using factory parts, this will be important in order to get the correct mounting brackets, pulleys, etc., that are specific to the various engine families.
I've read the guides for conversion and they seem to say that I would need to get all the steering linkages too. These "kits" seem to just have the box and pitman arm. Is all the linkage necessary?

Before any conversion a person needs to do a lot of home work researching and looking over his vehicle to see what all things he will need to do plus the tools needed to complete the job. Many times a welder is needed Or making up a draglink by cutting or lengthening.
But like ultraranger pointed out this a gathering of parts but many time it's you'll to change out the steering whole column and other steering parts.
I'd say keep looking a kits that are offered and see who offers the most needed parts so you'll know exactly what's needed and if you'll be able to do it yourself.
