Aftermarket Side Windows 2006 E250

Hey guys, Ive been browsing and absorbing information on this forum for a while and Ive finally decided to start asking questions and answering them when I can. Im converting a 2006 E250 extended cab into a full time live in Camper (details and specs to come later) I am having a difficult time finding a window to install just behind my drivers side door. Im looking for a slide open window about 12"x24" or smaller. I have found numerous options from CLR Lawrence that fit the econoline, but the smallest ones I can find are about 21"x40" which is much to large for my design plans. Ive looked at factory chateau windows and those are too large as well. I was wondering if anyone has information on where to find smaller windows that fit the econoline body, or if going for a straight RV or trailer window would work out if it is small enough.
IN short criteria for what im looking for:
Size: 8"x12" to 12"x24"
Slide open preferred, but pop open would work. (hopefully with a screen)
Fits the contour of the Econoline

Thanks in advanced guys!

Thumbs up size matters!

I see this one but it may still be too large:

CRL Universal Non-Contoured Horizontal Sliding Window 21-1/4" x 16-3/4" with 1-1/2" Trim Ring

Approx 21x17 or so...

JWA may have some input here but my thoughts are that if its taller than about 12" or so, it probably needs to be contoured to look decent where the trim meets the sheetmetal.

So far, I installed two portal windows and they are about 12" and there is just a hint of mismatch...acceptable to me but maybe not acceptable to someone else.

Let us know if you find a sliding window thats around 12" or so in the vertical dimension.

what direction are you wanting, horizontal or vertical?
what kind of budget per window do you have?

I am not sure, JWA would be the one to ask, but if you are installing the windows horizontal, depending on the outer trim, you might get away with a flat window.
You might look into marine boat windows for the smaller rectangular sizes.

You might also want to consider roof vents. Power roof vents require other battery options or solar. Personally I think solar would be the way to go if living in a van full time. The size and cost system you need depends on entirely on your demands.

Your side and rear door windows are fixed aren't then? Mine are and I really wish they poped out for ventilation. Mine is a conversion with one vertical window on the passenger side and 3 on the drivers side, only the rear 2 slide opened. Those 2 and the drivers doors are not near enough ventilation so i will be adding some roof vents..

I just thought of another possible outlet.. Big trucks use windows and vents in their sleepers.. here is one example and there are other sizes.

not sure of the size on this window but here is another for a bus

Just found this site 17x 21 supposed to be for a van,, has telephone no.

Thanks for the replies guys!
As for where the Van sits now I have robbed pop open windows for both of the back and one of the side doors from the junkyard. They were cheap and they make a world of difference. Im also going to an RV supply store today to pick up a roof vent with a 12v fan.

The main reason for the side window is that it is going right over my propane cooker and I want to have some ventilation for those fumes. I also think staring out the window while cooking will be much nicer than looking at the wall. My "kitchen" will consist of a fridge, sink, stove top, and oven. The whole unit will sit about 32" off the floor and my total ceiling height is 51". So I would really like something under 12" in height and approximately 18"-24" in length with a horizontal slider. I dont think I will be able to find one that narrow contoured to my van.

The question now is if I get a flat rv/trailer window, will is seal properly on my contoured van? I hesitant about cutting a hole in the van and testing it without hear about someone else experience first.

Thanks again, once I get some of these things sorted Ill give you all a walkthrough of the van and some design plans.
