I am replacing the timming chain in my 88 bronco II and could some one tell me how to take the fan off so that I can get to the timming chain to replace it I have taken all the bolts off the fan and the fan still won't come off.
Thinking about forgetting about replaceing the timming chain and just put a 302 in the 2.9 (V6) spot so that I can put a new ring gear in while I have the 2.9 out of the truck. And I am not sure how I would do that since the 2.9 is fuel injection if some one know how to do that one it would help me out a lot.
Could some one help me on this one?
Joe

The 2.9 uses timing gears. No chain. A 302 swap is a common thing and fairly easy to do If you buy one of the available kits. James Duff has a kit as does L&L. Jeggs and summit both have conversion parts. You can also check out www.ford-trucks.com. There is allot of info on upgrading your Bronco II
