I sanded and then applied a couple coats of adhesion promoter then 6 coats of satin black paint. I had the adhesion promoter laying around.

Not too bad so far. I have a few rock chips but touch up is super easy. I was just in a wreck about two months ago. The other car hit the front part of the step and scraped it. I told the collision center I would just paint it. Looks like new.

Awesome, I went ahead and bought some of the adhesion spray, but am going to go with some under body bed liner like spray. I do still want the AMP steps, but I think I want a tonneau cover first.
