Bronco woes
So it all started with putting disc brakes on the 78. Well gotta pull axles shafts to do so. I pulled them and got crap water gear oil so no biggie just pull 3rd member drain fluid. Well the 3rd member is out so let's put a locker in it. Well go to put locker in and find pitted carrier bearings and racing and a pitted up ring gear. I wasn't to upset till I found the are up ring gear

Welcome to the world of old trucks. I told an old friend of mine that had a 77 f150 we had the most expensive vehicles in the world. A wore out 4x4. Nickle and dime you to death. Even after you spend thousands on them. Still have more character than a brand new eco boost fx4.

Remember, 4 wheel drive trucks are not boats. Hmm, you may want to check the grease in the front differential too. Patrick
