Find the generic part # here: Steering Columns - ?Gary's Garagemahal and tell me what it is. Then answer the question Chris asked, manual or automatic, and I should be able to get you the complete part #. With that you can Google it and probably find a replacement.
A steering column shifter mine is held in with a nail right now and is quite loose
OK, back to Trans 101
First off, when a "nail" is used as a retainer for anything, it's a poor indicator of the previous owner experience regarding repairs. Any advice given in this forum is surely a serious benefit over the "stick a nail in there fix". A nail? really?
Gary - I didn't see any columns on your site that pertain to the 3-on-the-tree shifter - or did I blow by it?
I think you just blew by it. It is right at the bottom.
Actually, I'm glad you caught that as I'd missed it. And, it is exactly things like that which need to be pointed out to me. So, everyone, please sent me a note via the contact form on my site or a PM on here when you spot omissions, problems, typos, etc.

390022 is simply a roll pin: 3/16" in diameter and 1-9/64" long. S2 means "Phosphate and lubricant", meaning it is has a black phosphate coating with some sort of lubricant on it, although a zinc finish will be fine. You can get roll pins at hardware stores or many parts stores.

GuardianAngel, Dennis Carpenter has 28 of these, give them a call.
Ha!!!! It's what we (some of us, at least) do here - and people like ND being here and doing helpful stuff like that is the primary reason why I joined FTE in the first place.
