1945 Jailbar

Just wanted to say hello, I am currently working on a 1945 Jailbar, it has frame and transmission matching vin. I took out the instrument bezel and it is stamped January 30 1945 I am looking for a few parts and I'm sure this site will be a great tool in its rebuild

Nice. Does it have the cool 4 spoke steering wheel? I have only seen those on 45 models. Nice 64 in the back. Oh, and you do know the bed is newer, 48-52?

Looks like it could use some of GB's wooden grill bars! Nice truck.

You have a good starting point to build a pickup. A good frame and, title? The cab looks really good and it has a straight pickup bed. '42-'47 fenders will bolt on to the pickup bed when you drill new bolt holes. It looks like the running boards are for a '45 pickup. Welcome to FTE.

yes the pickup is pretty much all original from what I have gathered minus the bed was told bed was original but the fenders were not as I clean I find more goodies, they bondoed over things that really didn't need it, but for now I will keep the fenders till I find a decent set of steel I have a clean clear title with vin matching stating 1945 ford cab is real straight will most likely put new floor pans in next year
