Have taken it out about 4 times and re-soldered the resistors back down. I think I probably fried one. The display is still so dim that you have to look real close to see it.

I had the problem. Found a guy on Amazon. Sent it out for it back in a couple days. Repaired and warranted. Total was just a few bucks. Well worth it. I don't remember the guy, but it's easy to find on Amazon.

I can only find the replacement displays...no repair. Gonna keep searching.
Just being thorough - do you drive with your lights on?
You know that is one thing that I keep checking. I swear they have dimmed to night time levels and I keep getting annoyed when I go to check my headlight switch. Never on. Day time is the worse. Can barely see the digits. Night time...not so bad.
