adding leds to the grill

I am looking to add 2 6" led light bars to the inside of the grill on my '16 F350. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of how they ran the wires in the grill. Was thinking of using the self stick zip tie mounts, but wasnt sure how they would hold up to the weather. Was thinking of maybe wrapping them in wire wrap and tieing to the hose that runs in front of the radiator, but didnt know is that would get to hot and melt them. If anyone has any pics that would be great. Thanks

One guy on here had a very good looking 30" or so led bar on the top of the grill between the [ ] chrome ends on a newer superduty that looked factory. With all the led discussion, I cannot find his post. I thought his (hers?) was one of the better ones I have seen. I will most likely repeat what I did on my sold F250 using the Hella 750's on each side of the oval. Everything else on the truck is non led, the cost is better and the light output was more than adequate for what I need. I am too frugal to just change things that are not broken and function well.

3m sticky tape works well.. just CLEAN area well before starting..

also super glue the wire to backside of grill..

also standard wire can take 250 degrees without problem. also can add electrical tape between hose and wire..

Remember.. No Photo's = did NOT happen.

Been using these tie wrap mounts for the past 18 months without any trouble. I cleaned the mounting spots really well with alcohol wipes.
I have Hella 75 Driving Lights mounted adjacent to my tow hooks. The tie wrap mounts are on the frame and bumper hardware. I check them every time I go through a car wash and get the underbody pressure wash. So far, so good.

RightWing, those are the pads I was thinking about. I was planning one using a large fender washer painted matte black and kind of sandwich the mount between the honey comb in the grill.

Rough Country makes a kit..... was $600 when I first found it, but they've dropped the price to a low low $480 now....

How long are your led bars and wide are they? I ordered my 2016 and am trying to get ideas but do not have the truck yet. Thanks

Thats a nice clean install. I'm not a fan of all in grill LED installs but this one I like.

I have a 30" into the chrome grill, I have a company truck that has the black grill, there isn't the stability to hold the light into the cheaper black grills, so If you intend to purchase a light for the grill make sure you have the more expensive grill.

That's not my truck. That's Rough Country's demo truck I guess. The ad says they are 30" light bars though.

I put a 30" rough country on mine. Ran the wires up by the drivers side of the grill and zip tied what I could. Was pretty easy.

I used the same tiedowns as RightWingNutJob

and

It was also easy to get through the firewall grommet to wire it up to my upfitter switches. In the firewall grommet, if you notice there is a little area that looks like they made it just for it. Well take a sharp object and poke a hole in it, then from the inside with some Vaseline just push the wire through it. Comes out real clean.
