That's older. From the grill it looks like 78ish. Could have a 351W or 460.
I'm not much up on E350 chassis cabs but, you're probably right that it's probably a mid to late '70s. An '80s model would have more rectangular looking head lights but pretty sure that the one pictured is newer than a '68 model.
The camper should have an ID plate (sometimes it's just made of paper and glued ) on the inside somewhere. Some plates are on the inside of a cabinet door. Others are on the electrical panel/control box. A few states require them on the outside near the door.
It is a 75-78 as there is no square headlights and with no cube grill. Just like the Dent 73-75 grill. Check the safety certification sticker under the driver door striker post for the actual date if the metal warranty plate is gone. Also check the EPA model year emissions compliance sticker date located on the radiator, fan shroud, or core support.

2X. 1975 was the 1st year for that Econoline body style.
what year would this camper be? I'm thinking its a 68 but not sure if it is or not any help would be appreciated
It has round headlamps and the new body shell introduced in 1975 = 1975/78 E150/350 (Econoline).
Beginning in 1979, Econolines have rectangular headlamps, the lower grille panel is also different. Both the grille and lower panel are the same thru 1991.
With a Class C motorhome body, this is an E350 Cut-Away (see pics).
