While driving at city, or highways speeds, and even when idling in park, it will start to sputter then die. Won't restart for about half an hour. Then will restart and run for 15 minutes or so then act up again. Have replaced the distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, ignition module on the driver fender by the master cylinder, and the coil. Has anyone else had these symptoms and figured out what was wrong? TIA for any help!
You are in the wrong forum. This forum is for the 351M & 400 engines which were last produced in 1981 and were never EFI'd. Hopefully a mod will be along soon to move this thread to the right forum.
Having said that, your problem could be either fuel or electronic. You should troubleshoot before replacing parts. When it stalls determine if it has spark by pulling a plug wire, installing an old plug in the end of the wire, and laying it on the engine where the body touches the block for ground. Then have someone try to start it and see if you have spark. If so, you have a fuel problem.
