Power window repair
drivers side window came off track and fell to bottom of door so i propped it up with a stick and found a guy on craigslist to replace all window related hardware including track and motor for $185, he will be here at 10am tomorrow morning so i will take pics and try you show you what's involved in the repair..

the broken part as can be witnessed by loose cable..

all done with ensolite covering the door panel and woofer installed, if you use a speaker baffle like mine be sure to cut out the bottom of the baffle so the speaker vents to the door otherwise you will have poor bass response..
Both his labor and the part are guaranteed for life so if it breaks again it's no charge to fix it..

I'm also in the auto/truck glass biz and for us this is a relatively easy swap. I use OEM parts, most likely he used an imported aftermarket part which explains the fair price. This sort of repair is common especially on the driver's door as its in almost constant use every time any vehicle is driven.
The nature of that regulator mechanism makes it slightly prone to the lift cables breaking and there's no re-habbing or repairing them once that occurs---straight replacement is the only cure.
Glad you're back up and running now----that can be one huge inconvenience when it happens.
