Every seen anything like this?
There's this heat sink on the passenger fender well on my 84 f250 6.9. It had a wire running from the alternator to the middle terminal. Then the top terminal went back to the heavy gauge fusible link wire that would usually just bolt to the positive terminal on your alternator. And the bottom one went through a circuit breaker to a heavy gauge wire that dead ended along the drivers frame rail. It acts like a diode because it won't let voltage to the alternator with the truck off but it will let current flow through to the batteries when the truck is running. Any ideas what it was for?? I cut it out and hooked it up originally and all is well so far...
