Hello all - I'm new to this forum and am looking forward to participating in the group! I have a question about my 2002 F250 4x4 7.3L Powerstroke truck. I have had repeated problems with the front end......in particular the truck has been wearing the front right tire (cupping, etc.) and it shudders on a regular basis. Additionally, the dealer replaced the front right brake pads at just 7500 miles. The dealer has checked and verifed that the front end is properly aligned and the tires are correctly balanced, etc.
Question: Have any of you had a similar experience and if so can you help shed some light on this for me?
Additionally, I'm wondering if the brake pad replacement (right side) has anything to do with the right front tires being worn/cupped in such a short period of time?
T.I.A. for your feedback - getting frustrated with having to make so many trips to the dealer!
King - thanks for the feedback - but this truck is new and I wouldn't think that with just 7K miles on it should have bad ball joints so soon? Could there have been a bad "batch" of ball joints installed on the '02 F250's?
Also, the truck came with Firestone tires.....don't know if anyone has had problems with this particular tire of not.
The key words were Firestone tires. Me and my father in law both only got about 15K- 20K miles out of them. I have a F-350 and he has the F=250 we both replace the tires and had no more shuddering. And a lot smoother ride. We both put Goodyear Wrangler AT 305's His rubs just a bit in hard turns mine do not.
