I was just kinda grasping at straws. I guess the only thing to really do is like we talked about the other night......just drive it. Hopefully you can get the other engine built before this one lets go. It sounds like its running fine, so not much else you can do.
Yeah unfortunaly thats all I can do, but i dont know the thing has not lost any power runs perfect, no difference in sound almost makes me wonder if the piston ring froze on the piston, maybe a cracked piston?
Today there was a Dmax dtiver tail gating me so I flored it to my surprise he did the same, he followed me most of the way from speeds going more than 100mph I guess, my rpms were at 3k with 3.55(wonder how fast I was going? It was a nice feeling knowing that the mule didnt blow up, guess my engine is not that bad
Well the haze is gone, blow by still present, and still smells like Satans azz. I notice is blowing more black smoke than usual and has more power than usual? What the hell is happening to my truck.
^^^^^ Hmm, and if so, MAYBE the unburned fuel is washing into the oil, causing the stinky blow-by smell. That would mean it's diluting the oil. Dunno if you want to do this with such a geriatric motor, but a UOA might shed some light. If you're fixin' to just drive it 'til it drops, and indeed there's that much fuel going into the crankcase, you could just change the oil more often, and run the cheapest 15w40 dino you can find on sale.
The oil level hasnt been rising, but I suspect a crack piston might be a posibilty the combustion gasses are getting pass thru a crack in the piston or at least on piston ring.

I would be interested to see what the compression is on your engine. You should try to do a compression test on it before it does finally bite the dust.
