mirrors...do i need heated?

So I have a line on a set of non heated 99-07 style power super duty mirrors for the ex. I currently have the nemo paddle mirrors, w/ heat. Am i going to regret getting these ($60) and not have the heat? Any anyone ever add turns/ heat to these?

I'll be honest here, although I do not live in a particularly "cold" part of the US I absolutely love mirror heat. On the few days/months that I get to benefit from heated mirrors I really enjoy it. The convenience and safety benefit of having a clear and non distorted rear view mirror is a huge plus, especially for large vehicles such as the Excursion in my opinion.

I do have original tow mirrors, left side heat works Right side is inop…. It’s a long reach across the cab of the EX to clean that right mirror at a stop light… If you use your heated mirrors now and lose heat, my guess is that you will miss it…. But it might be a good trade off to upgrade mirrors, it all about you!

Mirrors are on my too do list and the list is finally stating to get shorter.
Mine need replacing 1.) heat issue on the right side. 2.) Looks like the PO used keys, rocks, rusty steel, who knows what to scrape ice off, mirrors are heavily scratched....

My personal vehicle the Ex has heated mirrors, my work truck, a Silverado, does not.

I much prefer the heated mirrors.

Makes lane changing so much better.

I'm really **** about seeing EVERYTHING while I drive, so on my vehicles that don't have heated mirrors, I spend the extra few minutes cleaning them off if they are frosted up.
On the Ex, the heated mirrors (to me) are awesome, couldn't stand to be without.

Our 2 main vehicles have heated mirrors. My backup vehicle does not, it doesn't even have heated air....it really sucks when you cant see though the murror because it is iced over, or just fogged. I know how much I hate not being able to see when I need to drive my jeep.

Personally I would regret not having heated mirrors.

If you live anywhere that there's is a temperature difference go with the heated mirrors. It's worth being able to see what around you in these monsters.

I have heated mirrors...but when I removed the dash I forgot to hook the switch back up...haven't used them for 2 winters. Doesn't bother me not having them. I keep telling myself I need to pull the dash again..but really isn't a big deal for me.

See that's where I'm at. I rarely use my rear defrost, which means the mirrors aren't getting heat.....so I don't use the heat much
