Hello i have a 2006 ford f250 superduty that i plan on lifting 4 or 6 inches, i think that bds has a good setup and is the best i have found, i pull a boat during the summer and want to make sure it can handle it, also i do a lot of off roading and was debating weather to do dual 5500 shocks in the front or a single fox 2.0 shock what is better for off road use, the back is going to be a single fox 2.0 i think unless that will hinder my towing ability, if any one has advice or even advice on a different lift let me know. my main objective is more clearance and better off road capability while still being able to pull my boat. thanks for any advice sean
Few variables there. How big of boat? How much off road? The shocks aren't going to do much as far as towing, single, dual, 2.0s or regular gas. The off-road part is where a different shock will make a big difference. Blocks in the rear will keep your factory spring rate but axle wrap can be an issue. New springs keep axle wrap down but tend to be softer and might require air bags. 4 link in the front will be the best for off-road with the most flex but radius arms are more stable with a load. Each have pros and cons as well as cost. Everybody will have their own opinion and preference, best bet is to call around and see what company can offer to meet your needs and price.
